The beautiful Casa Carioka Rio Hostel is run by Alegra, a fellow backpacker who has traveled to many corners of the world.

Her adventures are many. She has canoed down the Obangi river through the jungle of The Congo, ice skated in Beihai Park, Beijing, ridden camels in the deserts of Sudan, watched gorillas playing in the wild in Rawanda, belly danced with 'Dina' the legend belly dance superstar of Egypt, soaked in the natural hot springs of Japan with monkeys, meditated with Indian gurus, admired the Eiffel Tower as it lit up like a Christmas tree. Finally she fell in love with Brazil and her beautiful people (especially the cariocas of Rio) and created a space: Casa Carioka Rio Hostel in Copacabana, to put her backpack down.
