The inn was built by noted architect Wilson Reis Netto from Rio de Janeiro, a specialist in tropical architecture. He even refers in his autography "... inspired by the Jesuit architecture, especially in a palace in ruins, located in the Valley of Rio Paraguaçu, near the town of Cachoeira. Its construction is of brick and clay tile with predominant rustic colonnade, generous balconies, with hammocks overlooking the sea and the natural pools formed by reefs.
